Valencia CF secured a crucial 1-0 win against Real Sociedad in the Matchday 20 fixture of LALIGA EA Sports, held on Sunday at Mestalla. The team continues to show collective improvement, driven by a solid performance from start to finish, the relentless support of their fans, and Hugo Duro’s goal from a Foulquier assist in the first half. From the outset, Valencia CF displayed strong competitive energy, determined to take all three points. The first chance came early as Javi Guerra broke down the right wing, delivering a cross that Diego López headed just wide of the post.

After that initial warning, Javi Guerra once again threatened, but Real Sociedad responded with a dangerous counterattack. Visiting striker Oskarsson found himself one-on-one with Mamardashvili but missed the target, much to Valencia’s relief.

Moments later, Brais Méndez responded with a shot that narrowly missed Mamardashvili’s goal.

Valencia CF sought greater control and possession, prompting Carlos Corberán to introduce Pepelu. Shortly after coming on, Pepelu intercepted a ball that sparked a counterattack led by Gayà, leaving Hugo Duro one-on-one with Remiro. However, the Real Sociedad goalkeeper denied him, and in the 86th minute, he also thwarted Javi Guerra’s effort to secure the victory.
